2009 WCRF HK Health Professional Conference

Women’s Cancers - New Horizons

The 7th WCRF HK Health Professional Conference Women's Cancers - New Horizons was held on Saturday 10th October 2009. It was an opportunity for health professionals to review the latest scientific findings on the relationship between lifestyle factors and women’s cancers. Over 140 delegates attended the conference to learn from local researchers and Panel Members who worked on the WCRF/AICR Second Expert Report, Food, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and the Prevention of Cancer: a Global Perspective, and the WCRF/AICR Policy Report, Policy and Action for Cancer Prevention.

An interactive group discussion session was introduced to this year’s conference, which offered an opportunity for health professionals to share their creative ideas, views and expertise on how each different sector in society can work hand-in-hand in cancer prevention through the promotion of breastfeeding.

Please refer to the conference programme for full abstracts and biographies of the speakers.
